I thought I couldn't love my sister more, but boy was I wrong. She and I had a conversation I'd only ever hoped for in my dreams. I had already come out to her so to speak, in the car mind you. It was a point blank question of are you a lesbian. That wasn't the conversation I'm talking about now though but it was pretty affirming that she loves and accepts me just the way I am as long as I do what makes me happy. No the conversation in question way a hundred times more reaffirming than any hug or gesture of those three little words. My sister had been to a drag show that day and she asked me to sit in the living room and talk with her. She said all she could think about at this drag beauty pagent was me and why she hadn't thought to bring me. We talked for a long time through the night about me and what I wanted in a relationship, the specifics of my sexual orientation. And I did my best to satisfy her need to understand me better. She was a bit miffed that I hadn't talked about where I stood in regaurds to my sexuality since she first asked but I explained and she answered some of my questions and made me feel more at ease. She told me that not her, or God, or even my mother could judge me and that no matter what she loved me. I was a reck balling my eyes out trying to be as clear as she was but it was very overwhelming to have my fears met with unwaivering aproval and acceptance. She made me feel so safe and loved which is what I hope everyone has the chance at. It was the best outcome I could have never even imagined for my coming out to someone in my family. She even told me it was my brother who had given her the reason for asking. Apparently he'd seen some pictures of me and an ex kissing somewhere on the net. But my brother is also accepting even though I haven't had the chance to ask him. It was the safest ive felt since I was little. There was even a point when she told me she had prayed every night for a little sister and was extremely happy when my mother showed her the baby bump that would soon be me. I couldn't have dreamed a better sister than the one I have I'm so lucky. So yeah I don't expect many of you to read this the whole way through but it was such a happy moment for me I felt the need to share. Hope all your days hold as much promise as this one did for me. And on a side note I'm sorry if this post is a bit sloppy but I sort of rushed it on my ipod since my computer is sick. I send my love out into the universe and hope a little bit of it catches each and every one of you <3
